Turkey evaluating troop deployment for Gaza stabilization force, Erdogan says
Erdogan says Turkey is considering joining an international Gaza stabilization force as it reviews deployment options.
President Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey was still evaluating whether to deploy its security forces to an international stabilization force being planned for Gaza, adding that a decision would be made after these discussions.
NATO member Turkey played a key role in negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza, becoming one of the signatories of the accord signed in Egypt. It has vowed to monitor its implementation and voiced a desire to join the planned stabilization force.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday after the G20 summit in South Africa, Erdogan repeated his view that the attacks in Gaza amounted to “genocide” and that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was responsible for these. Israel rejects accusations of genocide.
