NAACP Image Awards 2025 Was Year of Plunging Necklines With Chloe and Halle Bailey and More
Plunging necklines were all the rage at the 56th annual NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday. Stars including Chloe and Halle Bailey embraced the sultry trend in sculptural and sequined designs. Ahead, see who else took the plunge at the 2025 ceremony.

Gilbert Flores
Chloe wore a sculptural Gaurav Gupta gown based on a design from the label’s fall 2024 couture collection. She accessorized her black strapless frock with ankle-strap platform heels and small hoop earrings. The singer wore her twisted tresses in a top knot, while her makeup consisted of a smokey eye, pink blush and a gradient nude lip.
Chloe was dressed by Jason Rembert, who also counts Adrien Brody, Lily Gladstone and Queen Latifah as clients. The “Swarm” star was nominated for Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album for her song “Boy Bye.”

Halle Bailey modeled a white Sabina Bilenko gown with a sequined bodice, adding on a diamond-encrusted cocktail ring, necklace and earrings. The star of Disney’s live-action reboot of “The Little Mermaid” wore her wavy locks styled in a half-updo. Her makeup, meanwhile, included coral blush and a brown lip.

Sarah Jeffery, star of “The Six Triple Eight,” wore a brown sequined gown by Catherine Reghr. The actress accessorized with a mixed metal tassel necklace and black open-toe heels. Natalie Malchev gave her a low ponytail, brown eyeshadow and a nude lip.
Jeffery was styled by Amanda Lim, who is also known for dressing Emily Osment, Nava Mau and Alisha Boe. “The Six Triple Eight” won multiple awards, including Outstanding Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture.

Jefferson wore a black LaQuan Smith gown featuring a liquid effect. Diamond-encrusted jewelry by Lagos, as well as crystallized pumps that completed her look. The “Six Triple Eight” star was also styled by Lim.
The 2025 NAACP Image Awards, held on Feb. 22 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and hosted by Dean Cole, honor Black entertainers who left an indelible impact on arts and culture in 2024. The Wayans family will be inducted into the NAACP Hall of Fame and former Vice President Kamala Harris will receive the Chairman’s Award.
