MyRepublic users face fourth fibre broadband outage in three months
Outage tracking website Downdetector shows more than 200 reports of issues faced by customers since 2 pm
MYREPUBLIC fibre broadband customers suffered a fourth outage on Monday (Sep 30) afternoon.
The company’s website reported that as at 4pm, the company has been aware of a “potential network broadband connectivity issue” that has been affecting some customers around the north-eastern area.
The company also reported a similar issue on Sep 29, which appeared to have been resolved in three hours.
Outage tracking website Downdetector showed that there were more than 200 reports of issues faced by customers since 2 pm.
The company’s fibre broadband service had previously gone down on Sep 11 and Jul 21.
In the case of the Jul 21 outage, MyRepublic consumer vice-president Terry Williams said that it was caused by an upstream equipment provider after maintenance was conducted as part of network upgrading works.
