June Ambrose Pairs Two-tone Saint Laurent Slingbacks With a Colorblock Look for the 2025 FNAA Red Carpet

June Ambrose brought a vivid material mix to the 39th annual FN Achievement Awards on Wednesday night in New York, arriving in Saint Laurent’s velvet slingback pumps for the industry event.

The pumps featured a mustard-gold velvet front with a pointed toe, paired with a mint-green slingback strap and a matching heel. The velvet added most of the shoe’s color and texture, while the slim strap and tall stiletto introduced a second, slicker tone. The vamp sat low across the foot, giving the forefoot a clean, uninterrupted line.

Ambrose styled the shoes with a strapless Christopher John Rogers gown from spring 2026, built with a turquoise bodice and a deep berry wrap that carried into the skirt. The fabric held a structured shape through the torso and into the column silhouette. The two-tone dress picked up the same saturated approach as her footwear, linking the velvet’s warm gold with the gown’s bold color blocks.

Ambrose — recently named global ambassador and creative director of Naturalizer ahead of the brand’s spring 2026 launch of Naturalizer Sport — is presenting the Designer of the Year award to Nina Christen during the program. Christen is the Swiss Chilean designer behind her own label and serves as design director of shoes at Dior. Her namesake line made its Bergdorf Goodman debut in May and has since expanded to retailers including Mytheresa, Dover Street Market, Selfridges and Lane Crawford. She is known for a focus on materials and construction, a throughline seen across both her brand and her work at Dior.

The FN Achievement Awards, often called the “Shoe Oscars,” returned for their 39th year with honors for Pharrell Williams and Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Coco Gauff, Ronnie Fieg, Wolverine Worldwide, Nordstrom, the Jordan Brand and other leaders across the industry.
